Nallatech Now Shipping Industry-First Xilinx 7 Series FPGA Network Processing Card

CAMARILLO, CALIF. – June 4, 2012 – Nallatech, a leading supplier of high-performance COTS and custom FPGA solutions, announced it is now shipping the Xilinx 7 Series PCIe-287N to customers working on a range of applications including network processing, cyber security and algorithm acceleration.

The PCIe-287N is the industry’s first Xilinx 7 Series FPGA network processing card and features two Xilinx® Kintex™-7 FPGAs.

“Engaging with Xilinx early in the Xilinx 7 Series FPGA rollout has enabled us to get a head-start in our development and deliver cutting edge FPGA technology to our customers,” said Neil Harold, project manager at Nallatech.  “We have worked closely with key customers to ensure we met their requirements so it’s exciting to see them developing with the PCIe-287N and running applications on the two Kintex-7 FPGAs.”

The architecture of the PCIe-287N is well suited to a number of applications including real-time network filtering and high frequency trading.  The two Kintex-7 FPGAs are directly coupled to four SFP+ ports supporting a range of Ethernet protocols including 1 and 10GbE, SONET and OTN.  Each FPGA utilizes multiple independent banks of high-bandwidth, QDR-II+ SRAM and DDR3 SDRAM to support random access and deep storage. A third FPGA provides a PCI Express interface supporting sustained bandwidths up to 5GBytes/sec.

AMC Platform Features a Flexible Memory Architecture and FMC I/O Expansion Capability

Nallatech, a leading supplier of high-performance COTS and custom FPGA solutions, announces the availability of the AMC Platform – AMC-420, a mid/full size processing card designed for telecommunications, networking, defense, and imaging applications.

This PICMG® AMC.0 R2.0 compliant AMC features a Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA that provides high-performance processing resources, with a range of devices that include logic-oriented LXT and DSP-oriented SXT. An extremely flexible AMC Platform memory architecture supports configurations with up to 1GB DDR3 SDRAM or up to 36MB QDR-II+ SRAM.

High-speed backplane communications are enabled through an AMC Platform by two 1Gb Ethernet links, and up to four x4 GTX fat pipe interfaces, that support protocols including PCIe, SRIO, Aurora and XUAI. The IPMI backplane interface directly connects to an on-board Pigeon Point MMC with integrated IPMI v1.5 capability.

Camarillo, CA, USA, December 13th, 2010 – Nallatech, a leading supplier of high-performance COTS FPGA solutions, announces the release of a 10Gb Ethernet Media Access Controller (MAC) IP core for use with their PCIe-180 Network Accelerator Card. This comprehensive 10GbE MAC IP Core IP and hardware combination can significantly reduce time to deployment in signal intelligence, deep-packet inspection, and cyber-security applications.

This IEEE 802.3-2005 compliant 10GbE MAC IP Core supports the high-bandwidth demands of Internet protocol traffic on LAN, MAN and WAN networks. In addition to dramatically reducing the programming time needed for integration and debugging, an extremely flexible licensing agreement can be tailored to individual customer requirements to further reduce development costs.

Nallatech Will Demonstrate Deep Packet Inspection FPGA Network Accelerator at Supercomputing 2010

November 11th, 2010 – Nallatech, a leading supplier of accelerator computing solutions, will showcase the PCIe-180 Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) network accelerator card capable of real time deep packet inspection and processing of 10Gb Ethernet traffic.

The Nallatech PCIe-180 is a versatile product with a combination of unique features that make it ideal for deep packet inspection applications. The first is the card’s ability to dynamically switch between 10GbE and SONET/SDH protocols allowing customers to interface easily to Local and Wide Area Networks. The second is the fact that the FPGA’s external random access memory bandwidth is greater than the 10GbE line rate. (Nasdaq: XLNX) today showcased at the Intel Developers Forum the Intel(R) QuickPath Interconnect (Intel(R) QPI) technology for enabling the integration of Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) in high performance computing applications. The demonstration shows how high-performance Virtex FPGAs can support the low latency and memory coherency benefits of Intel(R) QPI when paired with Intel(R) Xeon(R) processors in HPC systems.
