As an FPGA Design Engineer you will be at the very centre of our business. Working in a small, highly experienced and innovative team you will be involved at every stage of the product development lifecycle, guiding the definition and development of leading edge high speed digital hardware products and influencing product direction.
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A first class or 2.1 Hons degree in Electronic Engineering or a related subject
- Excellent FPGA design skills
- At least 3 years experience of developing FPGA applications in VHDL
- Experience of Xilinx architectures and tools
- Ability to create high quality specifications and plans
- Knowledge of the full product development lifecycle
- Good problem solving abilities and excellent oral and written communications skills
In addition the following would be desirable:
- Experience of designing with Altera FPGAs
- Verilog coding experience
- A working knowledge of the latest memory and high speed serial IO technologies
- Knowledge of networking technologies, eg. 10Gb Ethernet
